Tomato, Sausage & Cheddar Bread Pudding Oven Recipe



Ingredients needed:

* 3 cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
* 1 can of diced tomatoes, drained
* 1 lb. bulk Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
* 4 green onions, thinly sliced
* 1/4 cup minced fresh basil or 1 tablespoon of dried basil
* 1/4 cup of packed brown sugar
* 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
* 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
* 3 cups of cubed French bread
* 6 eggs
* 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
* 1/2 teaspoon of salt
* 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
* 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation steps:

* Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine first 8 ingredients. Stir in bread. Transfer to a greased 13x9 inch baking dish.
* In the same bowl, whisk eggs, cream, salt and pepper; pour over bread mixture. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake for 45 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.

Serve and enjoy.
