Bread Pudding With Maple-Orange Syrup Oven Recipe

Ingredients needed:

* 6 cups of cubed day-old French bread
* 4 large eggs, lightly beaten
* 2 cups of half-and-half
* 2 cups of sugar
* 1 cup of raisins
* 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
* 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
* 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
* 1/2 cup of maple syrup
* 1 tablespoon of orange zest
* 1/4 cup of fresh orange juice

Preparation steps:

* Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray a 13 X 9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
* Place bread cubes in a large bowl. In another large bowl, whisk together eggs, half-and-half, sugar, raisins, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Pour over bread. Let stand for 15 minutes. Spoon mixture into prepared dish.
* Bake until lightly browned and set, approximately 1 hour.
* In a small saucepan, bring maple syrup and orange zest and juice to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat, and simmer until mixture is reduced to 1/2 cup, approximately 8 to 10 minutes. Let cool slightly.
* Serve with warm bread pudding.

Enjoy
