Crab and Penne Casserole Oven Recipe



Ingredients needed:

* 1 1/2 cups of uncooked penne pasta
* 1 jar of Alfredo sauce
* 1 1/2 cups of imitation crabmeat, chopped
* 1 medium yellow summer squash, sliced
* 1 medium zucchini, sliced
* 1 tablespoon of dried parsley flakes
* 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes
* 1 1/2 cups of shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
* 2 tablespoons of dry bread crumbs
* 2 tablespoons of butter, melted

Preparation steps:

* Preheat oven to 325 degrees
* Cook pasta according to package directions.
* In a large bowl, combine the Alfredo sauce, crab, yellow squash, zucchini, parsley and pepper flakes. Drain pasta; add to sauce mixture and toss to coat.
* Transfer to a greased 13 inch by 9 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover and bake for 35 minutes.
* Toss bread crumbs and butter; sprinkle over casserole. Bake, uncovered for 5 minutes longer or until browned.
