Sweet and Spicy Veggie Stir-Fry Stovetop Recipe

Sweet and Spicy Veggie Stir-Fry Stovetop Recipe

Ingredients needed:

* 14 ounces of firm tofu, cut into 1-inch cubes
* 1/4 cup of honey
* 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
* 1 tablespoon of Asian chili-garlic sauce
* 1 tablespoon of grated fresh ginger
* 1/2 cup of cornstarch
* 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
* 1 pound of salad-bar vegetables, cut into bite-size pieces

Preparation steps:

* Place tofu on paper towel-lined plate and let drain for approximately 15 minutes. Whisk honey, soy sauce, chili-garlic sauce, ginger, and 1 teaspoon of cornstarch in a bowl.
* Spread remaining cornstarch in shallow dish. Pat tofu dry with additional paper towels and dredge in cornstarch, shaking off excess. Heat oil in nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook tofu, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crisp (approximately 7 minutes). Using slotted spoon, transfer tofu to plate lined with paper towels.
* Pour off all but 1 tablespoon oil from skillet. Add vegetables and cook until softened. This is usually about 5 minutes. Add tofu, then stir in honey mixture and cook until slightly thickened (approximately 2 minutes).
* Serve and enjoy.
