Scalloped Potatoes Oven Recipe
Ingredients needed:
* 1 cup of milk
* 1/2 cup of whipping cream
* 1 2/3 cups of grated extra-sharp cheddar cheese, divided
* 1 cup of shredded Monterey Jack cheese, divided
* 1/4 cup of ketchup
* 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
* 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
* 1/2 teaspoon of salt
* 2 1/2 pounds of peeled Idaho potatoes, cut into 1/4 inch thick slices, divided
* 2 cups of sliced onion, divided
* 2 tablespoons of snipped fresh parsley
Preparation steps:
* Preheat oven to 350 degrees
* In a medium bowl, combine milk, cream, 3/4 cup of cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup of Monterey Jack cheese, ketchup, Worcestershire, pepper, and salt. Stir well and set aside
* Lightly spray a 9 inch by 13 inch baking dish. Arrange half of potatoes and half of onion in the bottom casserole dish. Spoon half of milk mixture over the potatoes. Repeat layers; top with remaining cheese and parsley.
* Cover and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Uncover; bake for an additional 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender and cheese is browned.
